Concerned Citizens & Communities

There is a growing movement to protect coral reefs, and Coral Vita offers a way for you to take part. There are opportunities to sponsor growing corals for existing restoration projects, or you can even visit our sites and volunteer to plant corals and restore reefs alongside us.

Lifelong divers are witnessing the rapid and stark degradation of reefs around the world. Families are returning to favorite holiday destinations to swim with dazzling sea life but only finding algae and crumbling rocks. Fishing communities are struggling to pay bills and feed their families as the size and quantity of their catch dwindles. Coastal residents are at greater risk as shorelines get battered without the surrounding reefs to protect them. Job opportunities for islanders are disappearing as tourism industries decline.

These aren't predictions of the future: reefs are dying right now, and people are suffering for it. Coral Vita has a solution for helping corals survive, and you can make a difference to preserve our world's reefs and the people they support.
